Making Peace with Herpes — the course

A self-paced course on living well with herpes, from Christopher Scipio, RH (AHG), is coming to Green Sun Press. This page is the waitlist.

What would you have wanted to know in the first year? Who would you have wanted to hear it from? What would it have meant to hear it from someone who has lived it?

I have herpes but herpes doesn’t have me. (Making Peace With Herpes, Introduction.) This course is that sentence taken one lesson at a time.

What the course is

Nothing is for sale here yet. The course is eight modules and twenty-two recorded lessons. It is video and reading only, and you take it at your own pace. There are no live sessions, no calls and no coaching of any kind. You watch, you read, you stop, and you come back when you are ready.

The eight modules

  1. Where I Started: the misdiagnosis, the shame, the years in the wilderness, and how the way out began.
  2. The Nine Stages: the emotional road from diagnosis to peace.
  3. Knowing Your Virus: what herpes actually is, including testing, the first outbreak and the myths.
  4. Shame, Self-Love and Forgiveness: the stigma that weighs more than the virus, and the three lies.
  5. “The Talk”: how to tell a partner, and the state of mind to have it from.
  6. Partners, Love and Relationships: relationships after diagnosis, self-respect, and honesty in love.
  7. The Daily Foundation: food, sleep and balance, and living well in ordinary weeks.
  8. Making Peace: the long road, and what lies one step past peace.

No quick fixes. There never have been.
